If you have been paying attention to Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers this season then you have seen something truly special from the young superstar.

The big man is putting up an average of 30.4 points, 11.6 rebounds, and 4.2 assists a night.

He’s also grown into a natural leader and is helping his team secure a spot in the playoffs.

The road ahead is rough but there are some people who are confident that the 76ers have a good chance of a strong postseason run.

When you look at Embiid, you see a young man who anchors his team – and also does amazing work as one of the best centers in the league.

But is he also one of the best centers to ever play?

Looking at a list of centers averaging 30 points per game in a season, you can see that Embiid is officially on the list as one of the best.

But his feat is made even more impressive when you see that he has played only an average of 33.7 minutes per game, far less than everyone else on the list.

Embiid is doing incredible, legendary work in fewer minutes.

Is this guy just getting better and better?

Embiid In Charge

When you look at his numbers, Embiid is doing better than ever before in some huge ways.

But the thing that really matters for Embiid is how much he’s doing for his team, not his stat sheet.

Since entering the league, people have been hoping Embiid would come into his own and become a leader and someone who can motivate his squad and actually guide them forward.

It looks like he’s doing that now and is comfortable doing so.

30.4 points a game in just 33.7 minutes per game is an impressive accomplishment.

Yet, nothing is more impressive than the way Embiid has become his team’s anchor.
