Burrow and the Bengals beat Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs once in the 2021 regular season, once in the 2022 AFC Championship, and again on Sunday.
Burrow’s NFL Career
After starting his NFL career in 2020 with a torn ACL, Burrow has made his presence known in the NFL.
As the Bengals starter, Burrow has a 19-17-1 record, including the 2021 campaign, where he led the Bengals to their first Super Bowl appearance since 1988.
With the addition of receiving weapons Tee Higgins and Ja’Marr Chase, Burrow is on track to be one of the NFL’s great quarterbacks.
The AFC is currently loaded with young quarterbacks not named Joe Burrow, including Mahomes, Josh Allen, Tua Tagavailoa, and Lamar Jackson.
With these names in mind, let’s circle back to the Bengals, and check in on their remaining schedule.
The Bengals are currently tied with the Baltimore Ravens for the AFC North division lead.
To complete the 2022 campaign, the Bengals are scheduled to play the Cleveland Browns this week, followed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New England Patriots, Buffalo Bills, and Ravens.
Burrow will need to face off against the aforementioned Allen as well as Jackson before the regular season is over.
Whenever Burrow and these other youngsters play each other, NFL fans are in for a real treat.
The AFC is shaping up to be a competitive conference for years to come, so long as they retain their young offensive talent.
