What took place on Monday night was simply frightening.
Often times, we look to sports as a means to distract us from the hardships of the real world.
Unfortunately, the human element took over as Hamlin began to fight for his life.
As was expected, the game between the Bills and the Bengals was suspended.
Players, fans, and team personnel on both sides were visibly shaken by the events that took place.
Hamlin’s Bills teammates took a knee in prayer as he was rushed off the field.
Pederson here is simply feeling what all of us are feeling at this moment.
When something like this happens, sports take a backseat, and it becomes bigger and more important than the game.
At the moment, Hamlin is still in critical condition, and we can only hope that he recovers from this and that his family can find peace in such a difficult time.
