Joc Pederson had an epic night against the New York Mets, as he and the San Francisco Giants rallied to win a wild one by a final of 13-12.
Pederson did exactly what the Giants brought him in for.
He hit three home runs and had eight RBI in the Giants’ comeback win.
But prior to the game, Pederson, who is a Bay area native, had a chance to catch up with a legend, that being Barry Bonds.
Giants insider Andrew Baggarly tweeted about the meeting between Pederson and Bonds, and how Pederson gives Bonds credit for his epic night, citing it as the best talk about hitting he has ever had.
Joc Pederson credited a long pregame talk with Barry Bonds for allowing him to keep his focus locked on every pitch tonight. He said it was the best talk about hitting he’s ever had.

Meeting A Legend
If you want hitting advice and Bonds is around, then look no further.
He’s bound to offer some good hitting advice to anybody who seeks it.
And Pederson certainly benefitted from their talk, as anybody would.
Bonds is arguably the greatest hitter the game has ever seen and put up some Hall-of-Fame numbers, depending on how you look at the debate over whether or not he belongs in the Hall.
Regardless of that, Bonds is bound to have some good tips about hitting that can benefit any baseball player.
Pederson grew up idolizing Bonds and he finally got a chance to meet him and talk hitting with him.
That’s a dream come true.
And to follow that up with a historic night like his is even better.
Not many players can say they got the chance to meet a legend, but Pederson can.
He can also attribute that meeting and conversation to the success he had at the plate as he led the Giants to a jaw-dropping victory.
