The New York Jets knocked on the door of the playoffs this season, showing one of the most promising rosters in the National Football League.
It’s clear as day that they’re on the right path and could become a legit contender out of the AFC East in no time.
But it also became clear that Zach Wilson isn’t an NFL-caliber player, at least not at this point in his development.
Wilson lost his job multiple times and only got it back because of injuries, and he was literally booed off the field by Jets fans once.
So, it’s only normal to think the Jets will do everything in their power to improve at that position, which is why there have been strong rumors of a potential trade for Aaron Rodgers.
Rodgers doesn’t know what he’s going to do next, and he announced that he’s going to go to a darkness retreat for four days to come up with a decision.
With that in mind, Jets TE CJ Uzomah shared his true thoughts on the situation, and he didn’t hide his excitement about potentially teaming up with the future Hall of Famer:
“I’d take it for what it is. There are rumors, and if it’s a spot that he wants to come to then, come on, come with it. We’ll accept you for sure.” Uzomah said.“I know that he and Zach (Wilson) have a good relationship, and Zach is someone that looks up to him. I look up to him, I think he’s a hell of a quarterback, so it would be sick to have him toss me some touchdowns and lead the offense.

Notably, not even Wilson’s teammates have stepped up for him or have had his back, which also speaks volumes of how the locker room feels about him.
So, whether they get Rodgers or they trade Wilson or not, it’s evident that he’s lost the locker room, so the Nets need to figure out a plan B in case they don’t land Rodgers.
