The Houston Astros World Series parade took place on Monday.
Crowds of people went to the streets in Houston to celebrate the second World Series championship in franchise history.
The Astros finally found some resistance from the Philadelphia Phillies, but they were just too good and took the Fall Classic four games to one.
Game 6 will forever stick in fans’ minds as the Yordan Alvarez 450-ft homer game.
That blast turned a 1-0 deficit into a commanding 3-1 lead.
Shortstop Jeremy Pena was, of course, in the middle of the parade with his teammates, soaking up all the love from the fans and enjoying every minute of it.
Fans Love Pena
Fans already love him, as he went from being Carlos Correa‘s replacement to a Gold Glove winner, the AL Championship Series MVP, the World Series MVP, and world champion all in a matter of months.
Pena showed some love to fans in his most recent tweeted.
“City showed out today. Nothing but love for this city,” he tweeted, with pictures of himself posing with teammates, another one with a hilarious “Who’s Your Daddy?” shirt with a photo of Pedro Martinez, and a short video of fans populating the Houston streets in the parade.

Pena had a dream debut season and is already a big part of the franchise and its history.
He was a Rookie of the Year candidate at one point, but ended up hitting 22 homers, stealing 11 bases and slashing .253/.289/.426, falling behind eventual finalists Julio Rodriguez, Adley Rutschman, and Steven Kwan.
Still, he saved the best for last: the postseason, where he slashed .345/.367/.638 with four round-trippers.
The best part of it all is that Pena will be the Astros’ shortstop for at least the next five years, so more big moments should be in store.
