Some people forget but the Utah Jazz were the top seed in the West just last season with a record of 52-20.
This year, things have been a bit rougher.
They are currently fifth in the West with a 48-32 record.
However, it can’t be denied that the Jazz are good – even if they are just shy of being great.

Friday night is a big one for the Jazz because if they end up beating the Phoenix Suns, they will clinch their division title.
No matter if they win or lose on Friday, their most significant challenges lie ahead.
Playing A Sad Song?
If the Jazz end up falling early in the postseason, you can bet a lot will change within the team.
There have been a lot of rumors lately that Donovan Mitchell is growing increasingly unhappy with this team and is looking to take off if things don’t get better.
Meanwhile, head coach Quin Snyder is one of the names being tossed around as a possible coach for the Los Angeles Lakers.
This would only happen, of course, if the Jazz decided to let him go – which seems likely if the Jazz don’t go far.
Utah has been very good for a few seasons now but it’s time that they take it up to the next level and really make a strong playoff run…or it’s time to make a change.
Make no mistake: the next few weeks will be make-or-break for the Jazz and there is a good chance that this team could look quite different when next season begins.
They will try to win their division title on Friday night and then surge into the playoffs – a lot is riding on their success.
