Jazz Chisholm Jr. is one of the many young and exciting players in the game of baseball today.

He’s got power and is quickly proving to be one of the best players the game has to offer as of now.

Chisholm had a clutch game-tying home run against the Philadelphia Phillies last night as his Miami Marlins rallied from a late deficit to take out the Phils in the second game of their three-game set.

Chisholm knows how to hit home runs and his slugging percentage is now the highest of any National League second baseman, sitting at .546.

Codify tweeted a list of highest slugging percentages by second basemen in the National League, and the list shows that Chisholm is at the top by a mile.

Chisholm Slugging His Way To Stardom

Chisholm really is a special player.

He can come up clutch at any given moment and is the face of the Marlins’ youth movement.

His power and slugging abilities separate him from the rest of the pack in terms of National League second basemen.

On that list, the closest to him was Jeff McNeil of the New York Mets, whose slugging percentage sits at .445.

Chisholm has put himself in a league of his own with the way he’s hitting right now.

He is the guy who the Marlins are grooming to be the face of the franchise in the future.

It’s hard to imagine him not being a National League All-Star this season.

He may only be hitting .251, but his OPS sits at .853 and he’s already blasted 13 home runs and driven in 41 runs.

Chisholm is a special player with an incredibly bright future ahead of him.
