When a player is locked in, it’s hard to get them out of their zone.
When somebody is on a run like Randy Arozarena was in the 2020 postseason or David Freese in the 2011 postseason, pitchers are going to have a difficult time getting them out.
Last night wasn’t a case like any of those, but one guy in particular was dialed in from the get-go.
Miami Marlins slugger Jazz Chisholm Jr. had himself a night to remember against the Washington Nationals.
The young star hit two home runs and had six RBI as the Marlins cruised to a 12-2 victory.
The tweet below from MLB shows what Chisholm was able to do last night and how he led the way for the Marlins.

Jazz Hands!
What a night for Chisholm.
This guy is one of the many bright young stars in the game of baseball today.
He is the one leading the youth movement for the Marlins as they have an eye on the future and what these young players could do for them down the line.
But that swing of his is such a thing of beauty.
This guy can flat out hit, and he is a tough out for anybody trying to pitch to him.
Perhaps not pitching to him would have helped the Nationals out.
And how about his dance moves while he was rounding the bases?
Those were sweet!
Not only is he a tremendous player, but he’s got great energy that can light a spark under his teammates.
And he’s got some killer dance moves.
The future is now, and Chisholm is going to be a huge part of the future of this game.
