Jayson Tatum and his Boston Celtics were able to make it to the NBA Finals last season but they weren’t capable of taking down the Golden State Warriors.
Still, almost every NBA fan was really impressed by the Celtics and the season they had, especially because they were able to overcome a rough start and surge all the way through the postseason.
A huge part of that was because of Tatum and his average of 26.9 points, 8 rebounds, and 4.4 assists.
But even with that greatness, Tatum wants to get better.
Jayson Tatum says he changed his diet and is "really paying attention to what I eat" moving forward. Tatum said it's all in hopes of being ready to play a full, long season.

He told the press that he has changed his diet and is “really paying attention to what I eat” as the new season looms.
Tatum says he wants to play a full, long season and be in shape for it all.
That’s encouraging news for fans of the team but should Tatum also be focusing on how to improve his mental game as well as his physical one?
Tatum’s Time
No one has doubted Tatum’s physical ability on the court.
The man can move and shoot and also remains healthy most of the time too.
Still, the fact that he is taking preparation for the new season so seriously is a good sign.
Yet, some feel that he needs to also pay attention to how well he plays under pressure.
There were more than a few complaints about Tatum’s headspace during the NBA Finals.
At times, it seemed like the Warriors got under his skin, psyched him out, and made him second-guess himself.
There is no doubt that a lot of weight was on Tatum’s shoulders and it perhaps got to him.
Hopefully in the future, that won’t be as much of a factor now that Tatum has played in his first Finals.
