The Boston Celtics are playing some very good basketball right now.
Sometimes, the duo is so unstoppable that it seems like only a hard foul can prevent them from getting whatever they want.
That was the case with Brown during their big win over the Houston Rockets, as he took a big shot to the head in what was later deemed a flagrant foul.
Ironically, Brown went off after enduring that blow, which is why he joked by claiming that maybe, that smack was everything he needed to get going after all:
“I’m not sure; I don’t even remember,” Brown said after the game. “I took a shot, umm, to the head; I can’t remember what happened — I haven’t even seen the play. But it hurt, I’ll say that. Yes (it got him going); sometimes, getting smacked in the face is exactly what you need during a game. Like, ‘Jaylen, what the hell are you doing?’ Smack in the face and then proceed to score the ball.”
When an NBA player as talented as Jaylen Brown gets on a roll, it seems like there’s absolutely nothing you can do to stop him from scoring.
So, the rest of the league better take notice and realize that smacking him in the face could have even bigger repercussions than actually playing fair defense on him.
