There may be some drama brewing inside the Boston Celtics.
The Celtics have made some important but quiet moves during this offseason, avoiding major trade deals in favor of sticking with the squad that got them to the NBA Finals last season.
But there is a rumor that they were attempting to not just make a big move but an enormous one.
Reports from inside the team say that Boston offered Jaylen Brown, guard Derrick White, and a draft pick to the Brooklyn Nets for Kevin Durant.
The deal was denied by Brooklyn, who aren’t eager to make any move unless they love it, but just the idea got people talking.

Brown seemingly commented on the proposed deal, hopping on Twitter to post a simple, “Smh.”
He’s obviously not too happy about the idea of his team letting him go.
And now that the proposed package is dead in the water, will this make for an awkward new season in Boston?
Brown In Boston
Brown is easily one of the best players on the incredible Boston roster and was a huge part of their great season and their postseason success.
That is exactly why the Celtics were looking to offer him in a trade for Durant.
Any team that lands Durant will only do so because they are willing to give up a lot.
A player that is the caliber of Brown is just the beginning of what the Nets are going to be looking for.
They really are demanding a lot and, so far, they aren’t happy with any deal that’s come their way.
Therefore, teams like Boston will try to offer something for Durant and will only be rejected.
