For years, NBA legend Charles Barkley has been honest about his views on younger players.
He’s talked about younger players being spoiled and the fact that they should play more often than they do, especially given all the money they make.
But — more often than not — he’s also been quite harsh when scrutinizing every single aspect of their lives, and he’s crossed the line from time to time.
That has been the case with Kevin Durant for years now.
Barkley has gone to great lengths to criticize Durant every single time he’s had an opportunity to do it.
And while some of that criticism is rightfully earned, it now seems like a personal matter and flat-out hating at this point.
Recently, Barkley claimed that Durant is “very sensitive” and doesn’t know how to handle criticism.
That’s why sports analyst Jay Williams put him on blast by pointing out the fact that this younger generation isn’t more sensitive or emotional than those from the good-old-days.
Williams cited that Barkley criticized Michael Jordan — who’s considered the greatest competitor and mentally-toughest athlete ever — and that MJ hasn’t spoken to him ever since, so he’s also quite sensitive, clearly.

Per Williams, it all has to do with social media and players being in the public eye more often than they used to be, which makes sense.
Also, Barkley spent his entire career calling out the fans and the media, so it’s not like he was always happy to embrace criticism during his playing days either.
