Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks has had a busy summer.
The MVP candidate was playing basketball for his country of Slovenia and did incredible work, as expected.
Fans of the star were happy to see him perfecting his game but they were even happier to see how he looked.
For the first time in a long time, Doncic was looking incredibly physically fit and healthy in the summer.
“We all saw Luka’s taking his body serious…What I love about Luka is he never runs from opinions. He worked on his body and he took off.”

Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd opened up about Doncic’s body, shape, weight, and what’s ahead for him.
He noted that Doncic heard people, including NBA commentator Reggie Miller, saying he was out of shape early in the 2021-22 season.
Instead of protesting these statements, Doncic took them to heart and made sure that he’d start the new year looking better than ever.
“What I love about Luka is he never runs from opinions. He worked on his body and he took off,” Kidd said.
Kidd implied that the NBA world might not be ready for an in-shape Doncic.
Luka Losing Weight
As great as he is, Doncic has been known to get a little squishy in the midsection during his offseason.
Perhaps it’s because he’s not spending as much time in the gym or maybe it’s that sweet tea that Texas is known for but the Slovenian superstar has had to shed some pounds at the start of every season.
That won’t be the case this year.
Doncic truly does look physically commanding and strong and sleek.
This means that he could be in postseason form right out of the gate.
That could greatly alter the fate of the team, who are coming off of a tremendous 2021-22 run.
