After ending the 2022 season with an impressive stretch of victories, the Detroit Lions have picked up right where they left off.
Through seven weeks, the Lions find themselves with a 5-2 record and a firm grasp on the NFC North race.
The Lions’ success has come on the back of an elite offense led by Jared Goff and his cast of characters.
Goff recently took to the Rich Eisen Show to discuss Amon-Ra St. Brown’s role in the offense and how he impacts the game.
“He brings our offense to a new level, and I am happy to play with him,” Goff said.

When asked about what makes St. Brown special, Goff responded, “His toughness is the main thing that makes him so great.”
St. Brown comes from a family of elite athletes, and his toughness, as Goff mentions, is on display every week.
He had an intriguing prospect profile coming out of USC, but because of his unknowns as a receiver, he fell to the fourth round of the NFL Draft.
Goff and Eisen continued to highlight St. Brown’s efforts, an indication that he has already outperformed what the Lions and the rest of the league thought about him coming in.
Through seven games, St. Brown has recorded 51 receptions for 557 yards and three touchdowns.
He is on pace to log over 100 receptions and over 1,100 yards if he stays healthy.
Goff and St. Brown have established a strong connection, one that will continue to grow throughout the years, something the Lions will keep benefitting from.
