James Harden of the Philadelphia 76ers is having one of the best seasons of his career right now.
With his 21.5 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 10.8 assists a game, Harden looks like the man he promised he’d be.
Even though he and his 76ers have a good shot at going far in the playoffs this year, that doesn’t mean Harden isn’t focused on his future and what’s next for him in the NBA.
James Harden will be represented by Troy Payne — a former Adidas executive — who is partnering with agents Mike Silverman and Brandon Grier to lead Equity Basketball.Â

It is being reported that Harden will hire former Adidas executive Troy Payne as his agent.
This is the first time since 2017 that Harden will have a full-time agent.
And it should be noted that he can become a free agent this July.
Some people feel that this news means Harden is eyeing an exit from Philadelphia.
Sure enough, there have been rumors of him possibly leaving in the summer, maybe even heading back to the Houston Rockets.
But the hiring of Payne doesn’t necessarily mean that Harden wants to leave Joel Embiid and the rest of his crew.
Harden hasn’t had an agent for many years but the upcoming contract negotiations – with the 76ers or any possible team – will be important for Harden.
Because he is playing better than he has in a long time, he wants to get the best deal available.
Based on reports from inside the team, it sounds like Harden gets along well with his teammates and the coaching staff.
That means there is a good chance he remains in Philly after this year.
The hiring of this agent suggests that no matter where he lands, he will receive a contract he can be happy with.
