Justice was made for Philadelphia 76ers fans.
For others, not so much, but that’s not for us to debate right now.
Joel Embiid was chosen as the 2022-23 NBA MVP, and James Harden wanted to do right by him.
That’s why the veteran shooting guard gave him a very special gift after the announcement: a Rolex watch with “23 MVP” engraved in it.

Harden sure knows one thing or two about being the league’s Most Valuable Player, but he also knows what it’s like to be snubbed.
Embiid spent the past couple of years making a case for himself as the league’s MVP, but to no avail.
Nikola Jokic beat him by a landslide both times, but he was finally able to get back at him this season.
Embiid led the NBA in scoring and was one of the most dominant two-way forces in the game from start to finish.
Moreover, he finally managed to stay on the court for most of the season, which was always the biggest knock on his MVP case over the years.
Embiid has proven to be a generational talent when healthy.
And while some might not be fond of his antics or how much he creates contact to go to the free throw line, there aren’t many ways to stop or even contain him on either side of the floor.
So, props to Embiid for becoming the first MVP in franchise history since Allen Iverson.
But he’s still got a bigger task ahead of him now.
