Obviously, most people watching the Los Angeles Lakers and Oklahoma City Thunder battle it out on Tuesday were doing so in order to see LeBron James make NBA history.
However, those tuning in got to see more than just James surpass Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, they also got to see some of the breakout stars who are rising through the ranks of the Thunder.
One of those stars, Jalen Williams, had an amazing night.
Jalen Williams should be in the Rookie of the Year conversation. Paolo's still the favorite but Jalen's got a case for being #2

NBA writer Naveen Ganglani had nothing but praise for Williams following the game.
“Jalen Williams should be in the Rookie of the Year conversation. Paolo’s still the favorite but Jalen’s got a case for being #2,” Ganglani said on Twitter.
Williams was all over the court on Tuesday, scoring 25 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 assists.
Perhaps more impressive is the fact that Williams also notched 6 steals during the game.
Even diehard NBA fans might not know much about this Thunder team.
Because of their low standing in the Western Conference, Thunder games aren’t often broadcast on national television and it’s easy to miss them.
So for many people, Tuesday night was their first chance to see Williams and get a taste of the incredible rookie season he’s having.
Williams is producing 12 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.8 assists a game on 50.4% from the field.
He was the 12th overall pick in the latest draft and has repeatedly shown that the Thunder made the right choice by adding him.
Williams is just one of a few great young stars who is impressing the Thunder fans.
Ironically, he’s also one of three Williams’ on the team.
Last night all three were on the court, with Jaylin and Kenrich Williams starting as well.
