The NFL’s iteration of the 2023 Pro Bowl was vastly different from the festivities in years past.
This year, there were many different competitions, from the longest drive contest, all the way to a kicking “Tic Tac Toe” game.
The weekend was capped off with a flag football game.
At least, it was supposed to be.

Somebody should have told Jalen Ramsey that this was a flag football game.
In a play that resulted in a touchdown for the AFC, Ramsey hit Tyreek Hill at almost full force, which sent NFL media into a whirlwind.
While most fans were excited about this hit, there were a few that criticized Ramsey for his lack of gamesmanship.
Thankfully for Ramsey, it appears that Hill wasn’t injured by this play, as he got up immediately.
Moving forward, however, the league could institute some sort of penalty for hitting a player at all, especially with consideration to the fact that the players weren’t wearing pads.
The Pro Bowl was supposed to be more exciting this season, given the new events that took place.
However, it was met with mixed reviews from fans across the league and could change again for the 2023 season.
The good news for the league is that players seemed to enjoy themselves, which had not necessarily been the case in years past.
The Pro Bowl has been tertiary to NBA and NHL All-Star Games for the past several years.
Will their new changes vault them ahead of either league in overall popularity?
