The Los Angeles Rams have an elite defense because they have playmakers in all three phases.
Aaron Donald dominates in the trenches while Von Miller does his damage from the linebacker area.
Then there’s cornerback Jalen Ramsey who shuts down the opposing team’s best receiver.
The 27-year-old defensive back has had success throughout his career even when he was still playing for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
His ability to cover wideouts without needing much help earned him three First-Team All-Pro selections and five Pro Bowls.
However, the Cincinnati Bengals sort of exposed him during Super Bowl LVI when he gave up huge completions.
While there is merit to debate about the accuracy of that claim, there’s no denying that he has been one of the game’s best at his position.
Let this tweet by Pro Football Focus pointed out how excellent he has been after six NFL seasons.

The post above shows that of all the wide receivers Ramsey lined up against, only two finished with more than 100 receiving yards against him.
The graphic also suggests that both instances happened a long time ago.
Exclusive Jalen Ramsey 100 Club
DeAndre Hopkins is first on the list and he’s still wearing a Houston Texans uniform in the picture.
Hopkins joined the Arizona Cardinals in 2020, meaning that Ramsey surrendering the century mark to him was at least three seasons ago.
Likewise, Antonio Brown is also donning a Pittsburgh Steelers jersey in the post.
He left the Steelers in 2018.
Judging from the illustration, Ramsey hasn’t allowed any wide receiver to reach 100 yards for at least three years.
Now that the Rams are the defending champions, his cover skills are badly needed if the team will win consecutive titles.
