After securing a first-round bye after a successful regular season, the Philadelphia Eagles are set to host the New York Giants on Saturday.
The Eagles and Giants are division rivals and will face off for the third time this season.
Heading into this matchup, much has been unknown about Jalen Hurts‘ shoulder and the status of his health moving forward.
In a press conference this afternoon, Hurts made a very definitive statement about his health.

Hurts is aware that many defenses will be gunning for him, especially considering the elite level of play that he has put forward this season.
Before getting injured, Hurts was one of the frontrunners for league MVP.
He now looks to beat the Giants for the third time this year.
Hurts has averaged 246 passing yards per game this season, and has averaged 50 yards rushing per game as well.
The Giants are coming off of a convincing win against the Minnesota Vikings, winning 31-24.
Although the Eagles have defeated them twice, it is difficult to beat an NFL team three times in the same season, especially given the Giants’ spectacular play against the Vikings.
Even though the Giants are coming off of an impressive win, let’s not be too quick to count out the Eagles.
After all, the Eagles did put together a 14-3 record this season.
Their defense allowed the eighth-fewest points per game to their opponents, and their offense scored the third-most points per game as well.
