During the 2022 NFL season, the Philadelphia Eagles took the league by storm, with quarterback Jalen Hurts playing at an MVP-caliber level while becoming a legitimate superstar and leading the team all the way to the Super Bowl.
Even though the Eagles were unable to come out on top against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in the big game, Philadelphia had put the league on notice that this team had finally arrived, with Hurts set to lead this team for many years to come.
Usually, when a player like Hurts has a breakout season, teams around the league break down film for the following season and try to figure out a way to stop him.
Hurts was recently asked whether teams around the league were playing him differently after his breakout season, and although he didn’t answer the question directly, he seemed to be a bit miffed that winning wasn’t the main topic of discussion with the Eagles being 2-0 heading into Week 3, via Zach Berman of PHLY and JPAFootball.

Clearly, Hurts doesn’t mind if defenses are playing him differently or if he is struggling to return to form as an MVP candidate if the Eagles are winning games every week.
Hurts may not be putting up eye-popping numbers each week like he was doing last year, but he’s still getting the job done with some impressive stats.
In two wins thus far over the New England Patriots and Minnesota Vikings, the young quarterback has thrown for 363 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception while rushing for 72 yards and two touchdowns.
