Jaguars Will Be Haunted By Urban Meyer For A Long Time

The 2022 NFL season is getting closer every day, and the Jacksonville Jaguars are looking to put their 2021 season behind them.

However, there is something from last season that keeps rearing its ugly head in Jacksonville.

That thing is former head coach Urban Meyer.

His past is haunting Jacksonville like Jason Voorhees.

No matter what they do to get rid of him, he keeps coming back.

However, this recent development might hurt the Jaguars franchise more than they expected.

Former Kicker Josh Lambo Set To Sue Meyer And Jacksonville

Never did the Jaguars front office think hiring Meyer would turn into a nightmare.

They now face a lawsuit by their former kicker, Josh Lambo.

The lawsuit alleges that Meyer created a hostile work environment in Jacksonville, which the team did nothing about.

If the Jaguars knew about their former coach’s behavior, and did nothing about it, they will have more problems than this lawsuit.

It can ruin the image of the franchise and potentially cause distrust involving current players within the organization.

They may have second thoughts about playing for a team that allegedly allows this type of behavior to go on.

So this makes matters even worse for the Jaguars than they bargained for when they hired Meyer in 2021.

Video Of Former Players Of Meyer Was Released Before His Firing In Jacksonville

There is a video that was released in 2018 that hurts the case of Jacksonville.

In 2018, controversial activist group Project Veritas recorded interviews with former players of Meyers from Florida.

What these players said about the Jaguars’ former head coach is chilling.

It’s hard to believe that Jacksonville didn’t know Meyer’s history with this 2018 video available online to everyone.

If they didn’t, they clearly didn’t do their due diligence of investigating everything on him before hiring him.

However, if they knew about this and ignored the stories of former athletes of his, it makes matters even worse.

They have now created a no-win situation for themselves in Jacksonville.

Jaguars Poor Decision Of Hiring Meyer My Haunt Them Forever

The team will forever be associated with their hiring of Meyer.

They now have to explain every decision they made in hiring him.

It won’t end until they come clean with why they hired him, what they knew about him, and if they ignored his behavior.

However, that might not be enough for NFL fans or the NFL itself if Jacksonville allowed Meyer to act in this manner.

Depending on the level of involvement, there could be repercussions.

They have more to worry about based on their level of involvement.

Besides the lawsuit and tarnishing of their brand, they could face sanctions by the NFL if Jacksonville ignored the issues with Meyer.

The NFL could fine them and take away draft picks if they chose to.

With a Jaguars team trying to rebuild in 2022, that’s something they can’t afford.

It also makes for the hiring of Meyer as one of the worst things they could have done for the team.

No matter what the team does now, they are forever haunted by him.
