The Jacksonville Jaguars are dealing with a huge headache because of Urban Meyer.
The first-year NFL head coach has had drama surround him since he showed up and it has never gone away.
A video featuring a young woman dancing on his lap at a bar following a loss was the most embarrassing thing for him and the organization, but recent reports point toward Meyer calling his assistants “losers” and him calling out the talent on his team.
So what are the Jaguars going to do?
ESPN’s Adam Schefter wrote a story featuring quotes from owner Shad Khan, who is desperately trying to keep the faith.
“I want to do the right thing for the team. I want to do the right thing for the city,” Khan said. “That, to me, is way more important than just acting helter-skelter on emotion. I think we have a history of really looking at the facts and then really doing the right thing.
If Khan wants to look at the facts, the decision may be an easy one.
Deciding Meyer’s Future
The Jaguars are now 2-11 and only negative reports are coming out about Meyer.
Even rookie quarterback Trevor Lawrence had to come to the defense of teammate James Robinson after the running back was seemingly benched by Meyer.
An NFL coach should never be the source of drama or negative attention.

Yet here is Meyer, unable to avoid the spotlight.
Khan’s Jaguars are not exactly the pinnacle of success in the NFL.
But even he has to see that his team is only headed in a negative direction at a time when hope should be high because of Lawrence leading the way.
Yet the rookie just threw four interceptions Sunday in a shutout loss to Tennessee.
Lawrence is supposed to be the future of the franchise, not Meyer.
So if Khan is paying attention, the choice should be an easy one.
