Plenty of Jacksonville Jaguars fans may despise their team due to a series of bad decisions.
They hired Urban Meyer despite the obvious red flags about his demeanor.
The Jaguars finished with the worst record in the NFL last season, prompting their fans to wear clown costumes in their season closer against the Indianapolis Colts.
Then, they couldn’t finalize a deal with a coach that could rally the team’s fanbase because ownership wouldn’t agree with his only personnel request.
Despite the mess, the Jaguars are still set to play in London next season for the NFL’s International Series, as revealed by Pro Football Focus’ Ari Meirov.
If the league wants to grow the game outside the United States, sending the Jaguars might not be the best decision.
But with the schedule already set in stone, former NFL player Ross Tucker commented on Meirov’s update.
Jags have 7 home games in a 17-game schedule. 😮

Tucker said, “Jags have 7 home games in a 17-game schedule.”
The game in London is still considered a home game for Jacksonville, but it won’t be played at TIAA Bank Field.
In some ways, they are better off playing on the road to avoid the scrutiny of their fans.
Imbalanced Schedules For All NFL Teams
Having 17 games mean that every NFL team may have more home or road games.
Using the extra home game to their advantage may be the difference between an early exit or a trip to the playoffs.
In contrast, playing on the road for the final regular-season game can take away a team’s postseason hopes.
It’s an imbalance that the team owners and players agreed to when they green-lighted the fact that there can be an additional game.
However, great teams always find ways to win regardless of where they play.
Certainly, Jaguars fans hope that their team can be like that under new head coach and one-time Super Bowl champion Doug Pederson.
Otherwise, the clowns will keep coming to the games.
