The Brooklyn Nets are playing like the best team in basketball right now.
Winners of 15 of their past 17 and nine in a row, the league is officially in trouble after letting these guys heat up.
More than that, it’s become evident that the roster has bought into whatever coach Jacque Vaughn is trying to sell, as opposed to what happened during the Steve Nash era.
When asked about it, Vaughn claimed that it all came from him being honest and vulnerable and trying to create an environment that was all about the game:
“Our shootaround in Washington was the precipice of that, me getting up in front of the group and being as vulnerable as I could be and explain the situation and really telling them I’m going to try to be as consistent as I possibly can every day and as honest as I can, and I’m going to always do what’s best for the group,” coach Vaughn said. Guys really appreciated that and grew to understand it, understand our ways, and we really create an atmosphere of basketball.”

It’s not a secret that neither Kevin Durant nor Kyrie Irving were fond of Nash, and his coaching left a lot to be desired at times.
Needless to say, it’s hard to get the rest of the team to fall in line when the two stars don’t like the coach.
So, props to coach Vaughn for finally making the Nets all about hoops and shutting down all that outside noise once and for all.
