It seems like everyone is in awe of Memphis Grizzlies superstar Ja Morant.
Of course, fans of the team have known how special Morant is since he first entered the league.
But Morant is now getting noticed by some of the biggest names in NBA history.
Take Allen Iverson, for example.

AI had some strong praise for Morant, telling ESPN: “Every 10-20 years you just get a guy that’s special like that…and he’s damn sure one of the chosen ones.”
It takes one to know one.
Morant Moving Up
It’s no surprise that Morant was given the NBA’s Most Improved Player Award: he’s been on fire this season.
Last year, Morant was averaging 19.1 points, 4 rebounds, and 7.4 assists.
This year, however, he has stepped that up to 27.4 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 6.7 assists.
Unsurprisingly, his Grizzlies have surged right along with him.
They were eighth in the West last year and ended this year in second place.
And now that they entered the playoffs in a better position than they have been in years, Morant is making it count.
He’s been putting up 26.7 points, 8.8 rebounds, and a whopping 10.4 assists per game.
Plus, he is creating plays that are going viral because they are just so remarkable and awe-inspiring.
He is setting the pace for his teammates, who are more than ready to follow his lead.
When you watch the Grizzlies play at the best of their abilities, it’s easy to imagine them fighting past the Warriors, Suns, or anyone else in the West.
It’s also easy to imagine them actually winning the NBA Finals.
Iverson is right: Morant is a once-in-a-generation talent and he’s been proving that a lot lately.
