The Memphis Grizzlies won Game 2 against the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night and evened the series, 1-1.

It was a wild and crazy game with a lot of highlights, some theatrics, and yet another ejection because of a flagrant foul.

There’s nothing like playoff basketball.

Ja Morant of the Grizzlies went off in the game, putting up 47 points and scoring a whopping 18 points in the fourth quarter, landing 6-of-11.

His 47 points weren’t just amazing, they were downright historic.

Morant now joins LeBron James and Kobe Bryant as the only players with multiple 45-point games in the playoffs before the age of 23.

This news was all the talk of Twitter following the game and even Morant commented on it.

He retweeted the stat and added “bron & bean” with emojis symbolizing his awe.

Is Morant headed towards his first Finals MVP?

Memphis With Morant

Morant has been unbelievable all season long, with an average of 27.4 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 6.7 assists.

He’s been the leader of his team and a SportsCenter staple since the first game.

Partly because of him, his Grizzlies secured the second spot in the West, a feat once considered nearly impossible.

As great as he’s been, Morant has had one goal all year: making the playoffs and leaving an impact.

He would feel nothing but disappointment if he had such a stellar season and then fell apart when stepping up to the big playoff stage.

So far, that hasn’t been the case.

The Grizzlies made their way through the first round and now they’re facing their biggest challenge yet.

The Warriors are not easy to overtake but the Grizzlies are so far showing they can definitely keep up with them.
