The Memphis Grizzlies have been without star point guard Ja Morant for some time now.
After a video of him allegedly holding a gun was posted to Instagram live, Morant received a lengthy punishment.
He was suspended by his team for two games and then given an eight-game suspension by the NBA.
Morant is eligible to return to the floor on March 20th, but that seems unlikely as he is not in game shape.
But, in a recent interview on ESPN, Morant said he plans to come back ready to help his team compete for a ring.
“When I get back out there, I’m going to be ready to go. Ready to push for a ring.”

It will be interesting to see how he is received by his teammates and fans.
Despite the Grizzlies being without Morant for a while, they are still tied for second place in the Western Conference.
They have a good team and have been able to stay afloat without their best player.
Memphis would love to get as high of a seed as possible heading into the playoffs.
But, it seems like a certainty that they will have a tough first-round series.
If the playoff started today, the Grizzlies would face the defending champion Golden State Warriors in the first round.
Last season the Warriors knocked them out in the conference semifinals.
It remains to be seen if the Grizzlies have enough depth to make a deep run.
They certainly have the confidence a championship team needs, they have to just play like it on the floor.
