Ja Morant of the Memphis Grizzlies just had a breakout season in 2021-22.
The star player earned 27.4 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 6.7 assists a game.
He took to the floor with personality, flare, and a sort of energetic drive that would make Kobe Bryant smile.
The guard and his Grizz had a great season and made big waves.

Morant also made a few enemies.
Because of his success, personality, and the way he says what he wants when he wants, he has earned critics and detractors.
He’s more than okay with that.
Speaking of why so many people have come out against him following his fantastic year, Morant spoke clearly:
“Just because I’m me and I speak on whatever I want to and say what I’m feeling at the time that some people don’t like me. So that’s why I bust their a–.”
Obviously, the All-Star is going to keep being himself.
He won’t shy away from angering others and getting under their skin.
Grizzlies fans are very happy about that.
More Morant
Supporters of the Grizzlies love Morant and the way he acts.
Meanwhile, those who support other teams are easily angered when they see Morant dance around the court after a big bucket or block.
However, those who root against him would probably be very happy to have Morant on their team.
Really, that’s the ultimate sign of his greatness.
If he was flashy and overly confident and not winning, that would be one thing.
But he is doing all of this and backing it up with victories and that makes people even more upset.
Morant isn’t annoying to people solely because of how he acts – he is also annoying because of how he wins.
