The Memphis Grizzlies are looking to make a run to the NBA Finals this year.
After losing to the Warriors in the second round, Memphis is looking to run it back this season.
The main reason for their success will be point guard Ja Morant.
Morant is off to a historic start this season as he has been scoring the ball at an elite level.
Most points thru first 4 games of a #NBA season, aged 23 or younger (since 1983):
1986 Michael Jordan – 158
2016 Anthony Davis – 148
2017 Giannis Antetokounmpo – 147
1994 Shaquille O'Neal – 145

This is not a bad list to be on, featuring Michael Jordan and former league MVPs.
He currently leads the NBA in points per game with 35.3.
Living Up To Expectations
The former second-overall pick has increased his points per game every season of his career.
That looks to be the case again this season.
Morant will once again be a high-usage player this season, meaning the ball will be in his hands a lot.
He currently has a 35.8% usage percentage, which is top-five in the NBA.
The hope is that Morant will be available for the duration of the season.
His games played have decreased every season of his career, partly due to his high-flying, explosive play.
Morant’s play style is similar to Russell Westbrook‘s when he was on the Thunder.
He was a statistical monster and a highlight reel waiting to happen, just like Morant has been during his career.
The Grizzlies are a young team that will be exciting to watch this season.
It is also interesting to see how they respond to their success from last season.
Playing in a tough Western Conference that is only getting better.
Memphis will have their work cut out for them if they want to finish as a top-two seed again this season.
