Ja Morant of the Memphis Grizzlies has not only put his NBA career in jeopardy, but his sponsorship deals are now suffering too.
Morant, who is currently taking time away from his team after displaying a handgun at a club during a live social media broadcast, is being put on hold by Powerade.
NBACentral is citing a New York Post report that says the drink company is pulling its ad featuring Morant.
Additionally, Ad Age reports that Morant has been scrubbed from their social media posts too.

Morant was about to be all over your TV.
The Powerade ad featuring the Grizzlies star was going to be front and center during March Madness games but now it might not ever see the light of day as the company re-evaluates its relationship with him.
Morant was set to be the face of the company as part of a major rebranding effort but there is a chance that he may never work with them again.
As for his other huge deal with Nike, things seem to be moving forward with that company, albeit quietly.
They recently commented on Morant’s decision to sit out of games, saying, “We appreciate Ja’s accountability and that he is taking the time to get the help he needs. We support his prioritization of his well-being.”
In other words, everything revolving around Morant is on hold right now.
Although he released a brief statement following the live-streaming incident, Morant hasn’t said anything else.
Depending on how he and the league handle this situation, companies may choose to keep working with Morant or cut him loose entirely.
