One Memphis Grizzlies star player has gotten himself into serious trouble.
Star point guard Ja Morant, was reportedly seen holding a gun on his Instagram live early Saturday morning.
Due to that, the team suspended him for at least the next two games.
This was a major mistake by Morant as he now sidelines himself in the middle of a playoff chase.
Memphis is currently the two-seed in the Western Conference, but they only hold a one-game lead over the Sacramento Kings for that spot.
Social media has become a major problem in sports and we have seen many players saying things that cause themselves harm.
This was just the latest example of that.
Now it appears that Morant has deactivated his social media accounts, which seems like a smart move.

Morant has always been an outspoken player, and some of the things he has said have raised eyebrows around the league.
Most recently, he stated how the Grizzlies are “fine in the West.”
Yet, Memphis has never even made it out of the second round of the playoffs.
This recent incident was a young player not thinking.
Even though he has been suspended two games by the Grizzlies, it could be much longer.
The NBA still plans to investigate as to why Morant supposedly had a gun.
It seems like a good idea that Morant stays off social media for the rest of his career.
He should let his play do the talking and not put himself in a position to get in more trouble off the court.
