Ja Morant of the Memphis Grizzlies might be one of the best players in the NBA but he still has people who hate him.
The 2021-22 Most Improved Player of the Year is currently in a red-hot series against the Golden State Warriors and is trying to take his team to the Finals for the first time.
He has gotten this far because of an extraordinary season full of amazing plays, blocks, and assists.
However, some people still don’t think he’s the real deal.

Morant had a perfect response to that negative noise.
He retweeted his fellow NBA superstar, Trae Young, who posted: “If you wake up a hater…I’m sorry.”
While Morant has never been as villainous as Young, he certainly has legions of detractors.
But can you deny his greatness?
Morant Is Marvelous
Morant’s 2021-22 season stat line is ridiculous: 27.4 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 6.7 assists.
But you really can’t comprehend his greatness until you watch him play.
The fluid movements of Morant are lightning-fast and unpredictable and he is able to shoot from beyond the three-point line or weave into the paint and secure an easy lay-up – or a monstrous dunk.
Additionally, he has been part of some of the best defensive moves of the year, including some out-of-this-world blocks.
Versatility is such an important attribute in the NBA but few people really, truly have it.
However, Morant has it in spades – which leads to some of the hating.
He has steamrolled over many teams in the NBA and isn’t afraid of boasting and showboating.
Of course, this doesn’t sit well with those being beaten by Morant and his Grizzlies.
Haters can say he’s overrated or conceited but the numbers speak for themselves and Morant is undeniably a superstar.
