There is no doubt that the Memphis Grizzlies are having one of their best seasons ever.

The team has come a long way in just a few seasons and is now the second team in the West with a record of 55-25.

While a large part of the team’s success is due to breakout MVP candidate Ja Morant, the entire team is quite stacked.

One of those stars, Jaren Jackson Jr, is in the running for Defensive Player of the Year.

Morant had a simple comment on Jackson’s latest standing in Bleacher Report’s Defensive Player of the Year rankings.

Jackson sits in the fifth spot, tied with Robert Williams III.

Morant retweeted this news with some laugh-crying emojis, suggesting that he thinks Jackson should be much, much higher on the list.

No matter where Jackson sits on this list, the greatness of the Grizzlies can’t be denied.

The Grizzlies Roar

The Western Conference is full of some amazing teams and they’re seemingly all heating up right now as the postseason begins.

Of course, the top dogs are the Phoenix Suns, who have a wild 63-17 record.

But if anyone can beat them, it’s Morant, Jackson, and their Grizzlies.

They play a game that’s very similar to the Suns, in fact.

The comparisons between the two teams are fair.

If the Grizz can continue to stay strong and make it all the way to the Western Conference Finals against the Suns, there’s a chance they could pull out a win.

That would mean all of the awards – from Defensive Player of the Year to MVP – wouldn’t really matter.

At the end of the day, the only thing that really counts is the championship.
