Arizona Cardinals defensive end J.J. Watt is enjoying the last days of vacation before the busy grind of the NFL offseason comes.
His team sorely missed him towards the tail end of last season, during what was an ugly collapse.
On his part, the three-time Defensive Player of the Year would also like to make up for lost time after suffering a brutal shoulder injury.
NFL players always draw energy from die-hard fans who continue to encourage them, especially through tough times.
However, Watt may have found that motivation in a strange occurrence.
Landed in London, went for a walk around and was stopped by this woman who immediately said “no way!” and started rolling up her pant legs.
Wasn’t sure what to expect at that moment, but my own face wouldn’t have made the top 5 guesses 😂
Next level fan love, thank you!

Watt tweeted, “Landed in London, went for a walk around and was stopped by this woman who immediately said ‘no way!’ and started rolling up her pant legs. Wasn’t sure what to expect at that moment, but my own face wouldn’t have made the top 5 guesses. Next level fan love, thank you!”
It’s like the universe conspired for them to meet.
A fan finally met their idol, and the hero drew energy from someone who believed in him.
The socks are a nice detail to top off the encounter.
Watt did not disclose what happened next, but it’s right for him to sign those socks.
Watt Needs All The Energy He Can Get
In 2022, the Cardinals defense will rely more on Watt because Chandler Jones went to the Las Vegas Raiders.
They can’t afford to be one step behind in the challenging NFC West.
Arizona must get past the Los Angeles Rams, the Seattle Seahawks, and the San Francisco 49ers if they want another postseason berth.
Otherwise, the Cardinals will put Watt’s recovery to waste.
Worst yet, another early exit might lead to the dismantling of the team.
