Is Tyreek Hill Enough To Help Tua Tagovailoa?

With the way Tyreek Hill has been hyping up his quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, you’d think the heat in Miami was getting to him.

However, shortly after joining the Miami Dolphins this season, he’s been all-in on his QB.

While having  your QB’s back is a good thing, over-hyping them could lead to a downfall.

But is what Hill saying about his quarterback hype and is the receiver enough to help his QB for 2022?

Some Of Tua’s Stats From 2021 Give Some Meat To Hill’s Hype

The statement bt the Dolphins receiver of how Tua is more accurate than his former QB Patrick Mahomes upset some people.

Miami has to go to the superbowl the way cheetah talking right? There's a big difference on being high on your guys and being delusional. This the 3rd time this off-season I feel like bro leaned on the delusion instead of just being real. Tua more accurate than Mahomes was Ham

However, is the statement that the receiver made just a delusional hype of Tua?

According to a comparison of the two on StatHead.com, Tua has a slightly higher completion percentage than Mahomes in 2021.

To further help Hill’s claim, Tua finished the 2021 season with three games of a completion percentage of 80% or higher.

He’s also the fourth QB since 1950 to have back-to-back games of 80+ percent completion rate with a minimum of 30 passing attempts.

So things seem to go the way of the Cheetah when hyping up his quarterback.

However, accuracy isn’t all about completion percentages.

That’s why Hill feels his statements are right, as Tua puts the ball where he wants it during the Dolphins workout sessions.

Hill Hyping Tua Won’t Be The Only Thing To Help Him

While getting hype from his receiver is good, that’s not all that Tua is getting this season in Miami.

Hill is one of the fastest receivers in the NFL.

His speed has proven to be a killer in games, as he can turn quick passes into long touchdowns.

So there’s no doubt that having him in Miami can help their quarterback for this upcoming season.

With what we’ve seen from Tua in select games, if he can carry over those best parts into 2022, he’ll have everything he needs with Hill.

If Tua can complete 80% of his passes in three games with what he had in Miami, then Hill should help him improve those numbers.

Does That Mean The Dolphins Could Make The Playoffs?

The hype in Miami has made some people believe the Dolphins can reach the playoffs.

However, the task to do this will be difficult in an AFC with the Buffalo Bills and New England Patriots.

They have no plans of just letting the Dolphins back into the playoff mix for 2022.

But even if Miami can go 4-2 in the division again, they have an AFC conference full of powerhouse teams.

With so many good teams in the AFC, it’s going to be hard for them to make the playoffs.

We’ve already seen how they missed the playoffs by one game with a 10-6 record in 2020.

The same happened in 2021, as they would miss out on the playoffs yet again because of one game.

With the new tools in Miami, there really could be a chance they turn things around for 2022.
