The Cincinnati Bengals are making headlines with one NFL analyst on Twitter.
To this analyst, he feels quarterback Joe Burrow is a candidate for the best fourth-quarter quarterback in 2022.
However, is what he’s tweeting true, or are his stats being used to prop up Burrow?
Why Burrow Is The Best
In a tweet on Friday morning, Don Kleiman shows some stats with Burrow that make him feel the quarterback is the best fourth-quarter quarterback.
Is #Bengals Joe Burrow the best 4th quarter QB in the league? statistically, it sure seems so. pic.twitter.com/l9LPe2tcS0

With him being first in passing touchdowns and first-down percentage, he shows the Bengals quarterback in a good light.
However, Burrow’s 82 QBR in the fourth quarter places him in third place among NFL quarterbacks.
While the numbers are impressing Kleiman, the numbers are also deceptive.
So how are these numbers deceiving people who see this tweet?
Burrow’s Numbers Don’t Tell The Full Story
The hallmark of a great fourth-quarter quarterback is winning games in the fourth.
While Burrow has four game-winning drives in 2022, he only has three fourth-quarter comebacks.
Another NFL quarterback has more fourth-quarter comebacks in 2022 over Burrow.
That quarterback is Kirk Cousins from the Minnesota Vikings.
His six game-winning drives and fourth-quarter comebacks put him ahead of Burrow.
While Burrow has better passing numbers than Cousins, it’s the Vikings quarterback who is winning games.
“He’s being clutch in the fourth quarter, and everyone’s starting to see, he is a dog.”

So everyone is using the numbers to push their narrative in the best fourth-quarter quarterback conversation.
However, Burrow comes up a little short when every number is examined with fourth-quarter play by NFL quarterbacks.

Corey White says
Burrow may not have the most 4th quarter comebacks, but he is hands down the best at playing the 4th quarter with the lead. If fact he is so good, not only does hold the lead, but he doesn’t even give the other team the ball back. Look at the Chiefs, Titans, Browns, Steelers, he gets the ball with the lead and get first down after first down milking the clock and winning the game without even giving the other team a chance. That is top notch 4th quarter QB play and no one in the league is close on this one right now.
