NFL fans are looking towards quarterbacks with the MVP race counting down.
However, two quarterbacks are emerging as clear favorites in the MVP race.
Those quarterbacks are Jalen Hurts from the Philadelphia Eagles and Patrick Mahomes from the Kansas City Chiefs.
While both quarterbacks are having a huge year in 2022, only one can be the MVP.
To some, they believe Hurts is a favorite over Mahomes for the MVP honor.
But is this assessment true, or are fans putting too much stock in the Eagles quarterback?

With Mahomes having 3,808 passing yards, 283 rushing yards, 30 passing touchdowns, and two rushing touchdowns, it’s hard to overlook him.
However, Hurts is having himself a career year in 2022.
His 2,940 passing yards, 609 rushing yards, and 29 combined touchdowns show he’s making amazing progress as an NFL quarterback.
With 205 more passing yards, Hurts can bypass his career high for passing yards.
While Mahomes is putting up more yards and touchdowns over Hurts, it’s the accuracy of the Eagles quarterback that’s making people notice him.
His 68.1% completion rate edges out Mahomes’ 65.7% rate.
The Eagles quarterback also has a better record than his counterpart in Kansas City.
However, most of the stats favor the star quarterback for the Chiefs.
While Hurts is having an amazing year, he’s falling short in the MVP race.
Unless Mahomes has a collapse, or Hurts posts even bigger numbers, he won’t be a favorite over Mahomes for MVP this season.
