Thursday has turned out to be a costly day for star players in the NFL, as two injuries, in particular, have impacted two legitimate title contenders in the AFC.
Earlier in the day, Miami Dolphins newcomer Jalen Ramsey reportedly went down in practice with an apparent knee injury, which is never a good sign, especially when that player has to be carted off the field.
Along with Ramsey, Cincinnati Bengals superstar Joe Burrow suffered a potentially significant leg injury during practice in which he also had to be taken off the field on a cart.
Losing a superstar quarterback can be more costly to a title contender than a lockdown corner, but potentially losing Ramsey will definitely impact the Dolphins’ plans moving forward, as they hoped to be a dominant force defensively as well as offensively.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, via Josh Houtz, Ramsey will undergo an MRI to evaluate the extent of the damage to his injured knee.

Hopefully, Ramsey hasn’t suffered a severe knee injury that will cost him his first season in Miami, as that will immediately make the team that much less formidable on that side of the football while also seeing their biggest offseason acquisition go down before even taking a snap that counts.
Even if Ramsey is done for the year, the Dolphins do still have one of the best rosters in the league, with arguably one of the best offenses in the NFL led by quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and superstar wide receiver Tyreek Hill, who was last season’s biggest addition to the squad.
