History Keeps Pointing Towards A Yankees Banner In 2022

Right now, it seems like there is absolutely nothing that can stop the New York Yankees.

Through their first 37 games, they are 28-9.

That’s the best record in all of baseball and there are plenty of factors to the Yankees’ recent run of success.

The Yankees historically have had good luck when getting off to hot starts and dominating through their first 37 games.

This is the first time since 1998 that they started off with such a dominant record.

An MLB stats page on Twitter tweeted a little Yankees history, showing the Yanks’ best starts through 37 games and what transpired in October later that year.

The Yankees’ best record after 37 games of a season:

1928: 30-7, won WS
1939: 30-7, won WS
1926: 28-9, won AL pennant
1998: 28-9, won WS
2022: 28-9, ?????
1923: 27-10, won WS
1942: 27-10, won AL pennant
1950: 27-10, won WS
1958: 27-10, won WS

Title No. 28?

All the signs seem to be pointing towards another Yankees championship.

Of course, there is plenty of time left in the season and things can change.

But from early reads, this looks like a really good ballclub that can beat you in a lot of different ways.

Title No. 28 could be in the works for this team.

All the signs are pointing to it.

This team has a rich history with generations of success.

All of their recent hot starts have ultimately been rewarded with some October sets, so this run that they’re on now bodes well for them.

The team is red-hot and not showing any signs of stopping anytime soon.

You simply can’t sleep on them as they continue to match some of their biggest historical accomplishments.

Again, 1998 was the last time they were off to such a hot start, and that year, they ended up winning 114 games on their way to their 24th World Series title.

We’ll see if this ends up being an omen for yet another title.
