The San Francisco Giants are determined to sign Aaron Judge away from the New York Yankees.
He has played for the Bombers for his entire career, but is now free to sign with any team of his liking.
As it turns out, he rooted for the Giants growing up, enjoyed the three World Series championships between 2010 and 2014, and watched Barry Bonds make history a few years before that.
He grew up in the Bay Area, so it’s natural he rooted for the Giants.
His decision appears likely to come down to the Yankees and the Giants.
He even has history connections with Bonds himself.
“1992: Barry Bonds wins MVP. Loses in LCS. Batted .311. Signs with his hometown Giants on December 6. 2022: Aaron Judge wins MVP. Loses in LCS. Batted .311. Signs with…..” The Game Day MLB tweeted.

At the time, Bonds was with the Pittsburgh Pirates, but decided to depart after 1992.
It’s amazing how many coincidences there are between his 1992 and Judge’s 2022.
Too Many Coincidences
Judge also hit .311 (with a .686 slugging percentage and 62 home runs), won the AL MVP award, and lost in the AL Championship Series.
Could it be that both sluggers will be forever connected because of their decision to sign with the Giants?
We will know soon…very soon, perhaps even today or tomorrow.
The MLB Winter Meetings are in full swing, and several big names like Trea Turner and Justin Verlander have already decided on their future.
It’s likely Judge’s turn, and reports indicate he may sign this week.
Stay tuned, because the Yankees are likely not prepared for him to leave and the Giants planned their whole offseason around their pursuit of Judge.
