Usually a baseball game with a full crowd involves acquiring specific seats and sticking to them.
For the 2022 Oakland Athletics, however, there won’t be much competition for seats.
With a 15-23 record before Tuesday’s game, the A’s are already the worst team in the AL West division.
That was always the expected outcome when the Texas Rangers spent $500 million in their middle infield duo, plus other improvements they made.
The Houston Astros just went to the World Series, the Seattle Mariners were at the doorstep of the postseason last year, and the Los Angeles Angels have Shohei Ohtani, Mike Trout, and much more talent than the A’s.
The A’s, on the other hand, are missing Starling Marte, Mark Canha, Matt Chapman, Matt Olson, Chris Bassitt, Sean Manaea, and many other members of the 2021 team.
The A’s Don’t Have Much To Offer Fans
They are bad, they play in an old stadium, and as a result, they have among the worst attendance numbers in baseball.
The precious few fans that actually show up can usually have their pick when it comes to seats.
That was the case for a lady and a bunch of young kids that went to the stadium recently.
They were shown in the cameras, and once they got to the seating section, it was anarchy.

The young fans were actually rushing to pick up a ball, but in the end, they could sit wherever they wanted: the stadium was virtually empty, as has mostly been the case in 2022.
In any case, it looks like the little guys had fun, as they were together watching the most fascinating game in the world: baseball.
