On Tuesday, September 20, New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge hit his 60th home run of the season against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
It has been over a week, and the world is watching and waiting for him to hit his 61st blast of the year to tie Roger Maris as the holder of the franchise record for most homers in a single season.
However, hitting a home run is harder than it looks, especially when the player can feel the murmurs and the camera flashes every time he steps on the plate.
The pressure is real, yet Judge has remained productive and has been hitting the ball hard.
It’s just a matter of time.
Roger Maris Jr. has been in attendance in every single game since last Tuesday, as the Yankees want him to be present when the special moment takes place.
Memes Are Everywhere On Twitter
It hasn’t happened, and Twitter is already flowing with memes about the situation.
“Roger Maris Jr. going to the Yankees game for the 8th straight day to see Aaron Judge try to break his dad’s record,” Starting 9 hilariously tweeted.

Maris Jr. has probably seen the Yankees this past week more than any other period of his life.
He, like Judge, is probably eager for all the pressure and the drama to end.
It’s not that easy, though.
Judge still has seven additional games to hit number 61 and 62.
He is also competing for the first hitting Triple Crown in baseball since 2012.
Judge has had an outstanding season, and his spring training decision to turn down $213.5 million hoping for a great year and a bigger payday in free agency is looking smarter by the day.
