The New York Jets made a bold move by bringing in Nathaniel Hackett to be their new offensive coordinator.
No coach had a worse season than Hackett last year.
Coming into the season he was seen as a bright offensive mind and someone that could elevate the Denver Broncos.
Adding Russell Wilson, Denver was expected to be one of the top teams in the AFC.
But, things went wrong for Hackett, Wilson, and the entire Broncos organization in 2022.
Hackett was fired after only one year, but he did not stay as a free-agent coach for long.
The New York Jets hired Hackett as their offensive coordinator, and he might be able to bring a little more value than that.
Hackett had the most success of his career when he was the OC in Green Bay with Aaron Rodgers.
Now, with Rodgers’ future in question, Hackett might be tasked to encourage him to play for the Jets.

The biggest problem with the Jets is their lack of quarterback play.
Zach Wilson showed he is not the long-term answer this past season, and they might be looking at Mike White as their 2023 starter.
But, if Rodgers does become available, the Jets should be one team all-in on acquiring him.
It is rare for a four-time MVP to hit the market, but the Packers and Rodgers might be looking to mutually part ways.
Green Bay stated that they do not want to trade Rodgers to an NFC team.
So that is another reason why the Jets would be a perfect fit.
All in all, the Jets have a very good roster in place surrounding the quarterback, now they just need the right guy leading their offense.
