The Miami Heat have been lying in wait all summer long.
According to all reports, the Heat want Damian Lillard from the Portland Trail Blazers and the iconic guard hopes to move to the Heat.
But even though both sides want that to happen, negotiations haven’t moved forward and Lillard is still in Portland.
Apparently, the Heat have their eyes on other players as well.
According to Marc Stein, via Vice City Alerts, the Heat are expected to sign Kelly Oubre Jr. after a trade for Lillard.

Oubre, most recently with the Charlotte Hornets, would be a good acquisition for the Heat.
In his last season, Oubre put up 20.3 points and 5.2 rebounds a game on 43.1% from the field.
The small forward has the sort of speed and shooting abilities that would work well in Miami’s rotation.
However, Stein’s report says that the Heat will aim for Oubre after they get Lillard; so what happens if they never get Lillard?
There has been talk of Miami grabbing other stars this offseason as well, but all with the assumption that Lillard would eventually make his way over too.
If the Heat and Blazers don’t work out a package that sends Lillard away, will any of these other stars be signed?
Or will the Heat continue to wait?
Training camp is rapidly approaching and the Heat haven’t made any moves in weeks.
They are obviously waiting to see what happens with Lillard before they do anything else.
But the clock is ticking, time is running out.
When do they abandon their desire to get Lillard and pursue other players instead?
