It was a season to remember for the Cleveland Guardians.
Preseason predictions weren’t exactly kind to them, but they came out of the gates playing good baseball thanks to the emergence of young stars such as Triston McKenzie, Andres Gimenez, and Steven Kwan.
For the first few months of the season, they were locked in a tight race with the Chicago White Sox and the Minnesota Twins in the American League Central.
But after the trade deadline, they took off and ran away with the division crown.
Despite losing in the ALDS, there is still much to be excited about, including the fact that they have five players who have been nominated for Gold Glove Awards.
Shane Bieber, Jose Ramirez, Andres Gimenez, Steven Kwan, and Myles Straw are the five nominees.

Guardians With Five Gold Glove Nominees
Perhaps the Guardians can pull off what the St. Louis Cardinals did last season, having five players win Gold Gloves.
All five nominees for the Guardians are certainly deserving of Gold Glove Awards, and it’s a testament to the defense of the Guardians.
The Guardians led all of baseball with 4,368 putouts.
They also had the third most defensive runs saved with 77 on the season.
These five nominees certainly flashed the leather out on the field in 2022.
The Gold Glove Awards will be announced after the World Series.
The Guardians finished 92-70 during the regular season, knocked out the Tampa Bay Rays in the AL Wild Card Series, and came to within one win of advancing to their first ALCS since 2016.
But they can cap off their season on a high note with five of their key players being nominated for Gold Gloves
