The Cleveland Guardians came into the 2022 season having not done a whole lot in the offseason, other than change their name.
As a result, not much was expected out of the team once known as the Indians.
However, a historically fast start by their star third baseman Jose Ramirez and an unexpected hot start from rookie Steven Kwan has guided the Guardians to the top of the American League Central with a 7-5 record.
Not to mention, they just swept the reigning division champs, the Chicago White Sox.
Their offense has surprised everybody to this point, and the team made sure to let everybody on Twitter know about it early on Friday morning.

What A Start!
The Guardians’ offense ranks first in almost every major category, and it stands one of the main reasons that they are in first place right now.
While there’s still a lot of time left in the season and still time for things to change, the Guardians have a chance to prove to everybody whether they’re for real or not.
This hot start to the season for their offense is unprecedented and something that nobody saw coming at the start of the season.
This team can hit.
Period.
Several players have contributed to this unexpected start, and they will continue to play a key role going forward for this team.
The Guardians will kick off a three-game weekend series against the New York Yankees tonight, and their offense will be put to the test at Yankee Stadium, a ballpark known to be a hitter’s haven.
We’ll see if they can continue their streak and prove if they’re for real or not.
