The Cleveland Guardians will be beginning the 2022 regular season in style.
Not only will they be sporting new uniforms and playing under their new name for the first time, but they’ll have someone special to come and throw out the ceremonial first pitch at their home opener on April 15, when the San Francisco Giants are in town.
The Guardians will welcome none other than renowned actor Tom Hanks, who is famous for several iconic roles in various movies such as Woody in the Toy Story franchise, as well as the manager of the Rockford Peaches in “A League of their Own”, a film about women playing baseball during World War II.
