The Memphis Grizzlies recently went on an 11-game winning streak, the best in the NBA.
They were fighting hard with the Denver Nuggets for the top seed in the West and were looking better than they have in years.
But they have now lost three games in a row, including a shocking 33-point defeat to the Sacramento Kings on Monday night.
Are rough times ahead for the Grizzlies?

Possibly, and they may only be made worse by the fact that they won’t have their big man for the foreseeable future.
It is being reported that Steven Adams will miss at least three to five weeks because of a sprained PCL in his right knee.
Adams’ absence will be felt by the Grizzlies.
During the 2022-23 season, he has produced a very helpful and strong 8.6 points, 11.5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists.
His field goal percentage has evolved to a whopping 59.7% and he has been a huge part of the team’s offense and defense.
The lack of Adams is a scary thought for Memphis.
Who can produce what he has?
That’s not clear: Jaren Jackson Jr, who will likely attempt to fill the void, has averaged just 6.6 rebounds a game, far below Adams’ 11.5.
In reality, the team will probably try to use multiple stars to cover for Adams.
But what sort of damage could this do to the team?
The Grizzlies have their sights set on going far in the playoffs and that simply isn’t possible without both a strong offensive and defensive plan.
Losing Adams will throw a huge monkey wrench into those plans.
Injuries have slowed the Grizzlies multiple times over the years and the loss of Adams might get in their way again.
